The island of Thassos is a place torn off by the paradise… And the food there? As magnificent as the island itself! Here we met an incredible sync between customer attitude, great atmosphere and delicious food! A complete symbiosis for a pleasant stay! The places that I will present you are located in the area of Limenaria – that’s where we decided to settle (with the idea of escaping from the more crowded capital Limenas). So… it’s time for delicious food! Here are my suggestions for places to eat on Thassos…

Agistri Taverna
Limenaria has a wide choice of dining options, most of which are located on the beach promenade. The Agistri Tavern is at the very west end of the coast, shortly after the hustle. Here is an idea more quiet. The tables are positioned just off the coast, and the atmosphere… uniquely romantic and captivating… Especially at sunset… Near the tables are “stretched” and octopus… So shown… there was no way we could not try them! And in two versions – dried and grilled octopus! In addition to them – Greek salad, taramas and tzatziki… The prices are very good and the food… excellent! A glass of wine and a loved one, make the evening perfect… I recommend this place with both hands!
Taverna Leonidas
To confess … this place was our spare lunch option… At the first choice, it turned out that there was a private event and that directed us to Aliki beach and Taverna Leonidas. Am I sorry…? Oh no! I was surprised that there were so many free tables, but shortly after we sat down, they began to fill up… Great location overlooking the cove and a very colorful arrangement… It’s fabulous! Just enjoy the tranquility… with a glass of cold beer – Mythos of course… The choice for lunch was reduced to Greek moussaka and a portion of gyros. Prices are not high at all. It was so delicious and pleasant, that it was hard to get on with the day…
Tavern Klimataria
If you are looking for a relaxed, Greek atmosphere and very tasty food in abundant portions at an affordable price – this is your place! It’s great! Without exaggerating! Great cosiness comes from the yard beneath the vine… Only friendly cats can disturb your peace of mind from time to time. So the typical here disposable tablecloths and the napkins are branded with an island map! At first sight something small, but it gives a very pleasant mood. If you find it difficult to choose from the menu, I will recommend grilled squid, stuffed with feta cheese… There is no such taste… just melting in your mouth!
💡 A very important addition… in each of the places we received a friendly attitude from the staff! Everyone was more than polite! Besides… before the main meal came we brought warm bread! And at the Tavern Klimataria and butter with herbs to it… We barely resisted waiting, without to start eating only bread with butter… And last but not least… dessert! Everywhere was delicious and served as a compliment! Oh… just remembering and my slobber flows…
